Short Video Competition on Climate Crisis

Overview

World Futures Day highlights the universality of human anticipatory activities, nurtures collective intelligence processes, promotes and increases the research of futures thinking and its application in different contexts (UNESCO, 2022). Moreover, the focus of this year is on improving long-term resilience through futures and anticipatory approaches, including strategic foresight.
This Climate Crisis Short Video Competition is a national-level event that will be conducted under the theme of ‘No Planet B: Youth Action for Climate Crisis’. This event serves as a platform that encourages children and young people across the country to share their unique perspectives and analyses on climate action through storytelling. It aims to foster one’s creative, imaginative, and critical thinking in reflecting on the present states of the planet and inspiring action for a better future that favours sustainability and well-being.
Objectives:
  • To motivate young people to produce contents that are educative, reflective, and attuned to current issues and future thinking.
  • To make the conversation around the climate crisis and youth action more amplified.
  • To exhibit the young generations’ narratives of their concerns and aspirations for the environment.
