GS For The World #4:
Charity for Humanity

Date: 17th November 2023

The Community and Diversity Division of The Good Society organised a program to empower the homeless community at Pasar Seni, Kuala Lumpur. The highlights of the event include the passing of dry foods, hygiene kits, and barber services provided by the volunteers for the community 🤝

This program was driven to raise awareness and contribute to the welfare of the people. The programme was joined by 43 volunteers from IIUM students by distributing dry ingredients to the people in need.✨

GS For The World #2:
Hope for the Future

Date: 16th April 2023

The second series initiative of GS for the World emphasises the need of bridging the gap between locals and refugees from Pertubuhan Jaringan Islam Global Masa Depan. No barriers should stand in the way of the IIUM community to maintain its good relationship with Pertubuhan Jaringan Islam Global Masa Depan.

Thus, the two modules aim to inspire, educate and equip the young participants with actionable tools that would be helpful to assist them in navigating their future. Therefore, in the Holy month of Ramadan, this initiative would serve as a meaningful effort to promote inclusivity and strengthen our silaturrahim.

Votaries of Virtue Series

Date: March 2023 onwards

Initiatives of virtues approaches are designed to promote and foster virtuous behaviour in individuals and in community. Practices such as these are founded on the belief that ethical qualities includes honesty, compassion, respect, and responsibility are crucial for personal and social well-being.

Initiatives that highlight virtues seek to teach individuals how to embody and practice these virtues in their daily lives, in order to create a positive impact on themselves and the world around them.

Culture talk: The Uniqueness of Turkey​

The talk was conducted with invited speakers from Turkey, as they shared myriad examples of Turkish culture including places of attractions, historical stories and so on.
