Friends of the Library Club

An organization established to promote and financially support the resources, services, and needs of the academic library and to serve as advocates for the value of the library.

Purpose of The Club

The “Friends of the Library” is an initiative whereby the Library cooperates with the IIUM Community to organize activities or programs not only of benefits to university community but also to highlight the Library’s role in IIUM.

The purpose of the “Friends of the Library” is transpired into the benefits gain from it.

Formation of FOTLC

It’s finally here.. The Friends of the Library Club (FOTLC).
We heard about your request to establish a Club under the Library. To fulfill this wish, we have work hard to make it happen.
The Student Affairs Committee Meeting (SAC) of the Office of the Deputy Rector (Student Development and Community Engagement), No. 2/2019 dated 24th May 2019 has decided to approve and endorse the Library’s application to establish the FOTLC.
FOTLC is specially designed for the Library customers (staff and students). Therefore, the Library with the FOTLC committee members shall be fully responsible on the administration, financial and activities of the Club.
There will be a lot of activities arranged especially to encourage development of skills (library/research/study/reading/IT) and community engagement activities. The Club will be the 1st advocator to the Library’s activities and services.
